Harper On Job Creation

Harpernomics Says

“Our economy has created over 80,000 new net jobs this year alone.”
Stephen Harper, Speech in Harbour Grace, Nfld., September 13, 2008

The Reality Is...

Under Harper, Canada only created 40,500 new jobs in 2008.

What’s worse, during the Conservative time in office, real full-time jobs have been replaced with unstable part-time employment.

Under his watch, 154,000 stable manufacturing jobs have disappeared.

In one month alone (July 2008), 95,000 private sector jobs were lost.

In all for 2008, Canada lost 11,900 full-time jobs.
